Nobilio Sauvignon Blanc

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

Name: Nobilio

Variety: Sauvignon Blanc (12.5% Alcohol)
Region: Marlborough
Country: New Zealand
Year: 2013
Price: $11

My Review: This wine appears light yellow/gold with a slight hint of green. It appears to be medium bodied, with more legs than most white wines. This wine smells strong acidic smell of pear, grass, and even a little like urine. This is a bitter, acidic wine, but is very smooth as well. Definitely different than most of the white wines I have had in the past. It also has a very vegetal flavor.

Winery Review: Marlborough, with its warm days and cool, clear nights, produces distinctive world renowned Sauvignon Blanc. Our Regional Collection Sauvignon Blanc has a bouquet of ripe tropical and citrus fruits that flow through to the palate, finishing fresh and crisp. It's perfect as a match for seafood, salads, and light poultry dishes.

I did not drink this with food
I would probably drink this again
