Charles & Charles Cabernet Syrah

Monday, March 10, 2014

Name: Charles & Charles

Variety: 58% Cabernet Sauvignon 42% Syrah (13.6% Alcohol)
Region: Columbia Valley, Washington
Country: United States
Year: 2012
Price: $10

My Review: This is a very dark wine, a very deep red and almost black. It has very strong legs that cling to the side of the glass for a very long time. This has a very smoky aroma with also a black cherry, blueberry, and spicy smell. I also smell caramel in this wine. This is a great wine, there are a perfect amount of tannins that complement the fruity taste and the smoky flavor is a great plus.

Winery Review: Strong, bold, true - and named for the historic Post No. 35 building - this blend embodies traits we truly admire. Post 35 is expressive and original, bringing together the structure and dense black currant flavors of Cabernet Sauvignon and the sumptuous dark fruit and spice of Syrah.

I did not drink this with food
I would definitely drink this again
