Zinopolis Zinfadel

Thursday, February 20, 2014

Name: Zinopolis

Variety: Zinfadel (13.5% Alcohol)
Region: Graton
Country: California
Year: 2012
Price: $10

My Review: This is a medium-bodied wine, with absolutely zero legs; this is the first red wine I have had that I can say that for. It smells very sweet, with a strong cherry aroma. There is also a slight hint of licorice. This wine has a sweet cheery flavor, but not much else. It is a very standard red wine, with no defining characteristics. It is easy to drink and is semi-dry.

Winery Review: The vines have crept into the crevices of flavor and climbed their way to ambrosial heights, their chameleon-like character providing the perfect guise to conquer the ordinary world of wine with an extraordinary world of taste. Welcome to Zinopolis, a place where your palate reigns supreme and Zinfadel is always on the menu. Uncork the mystery of this exquisite wine beaming with peppery tones and underlying sweetness. Indulge in the aromas of sun-dried cherries and blackberry spice as each sip slowly mesmerizes your senses. Zinopolis, destination taste.
I did not drink this with food
I might drink this again
