Name: M.A.N. Family Wines
Variety: Chenin Blanc (13.5% Alcohol)
Region: Coastal Region
Country: South Africa
Year: 2013
My Review: This appears to be a medium-bodied, pale gold colored wine. This wine smells floral with a tropical fruit aroma. I especially smell banana and melon. This wine has a good balance of acidity and sweetness. I taste the sweetness at first, but the acidity at the end. Despite the acidity on the back palate, it is a very smooth wine.
Winery Review: M.A.N. Family Wines started in 2001 with three friends and their wives. To keep the peace, we named it for the three wives: Marie, Anette, Nicky. Our wines are made by a close-knit team - all passionate about producing distinctive wines from this beautiful corner of Africa. Chenin blanc thrives on the warm climate, deep soils, and bush-vine vineyards of our region. We use only the free-run juice (no pressing the grape) to preserve its clean, natural character, refreshing acidity and delicious ripe fruit flavors.
I did not drink this with food
I would definitely drink this again
