Bogle Vineyards Essential Red

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

Name: Bogle Vineyards Essential Red

Variety: Zinfandel, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah  (13.5% alcohol)
Region: California
Country: United States
Year: 2011
Price: $11

My Review: This wine has no distinct smell in my opinion, it tastes like a standard red wine, with hints of cherry and strawberry jam. It tastes like unripe fruit with a prickling sensation when consumed. This is a very sour wine with a slight smokey after flavor.

Winery Review: Rich, ripe, luscious and juicy this compelling red blend brings together the best of old vine zinfandel, syrah, cabernet sauvignon and petite sirah. Unlike anything we’ve made before...

I did not drink this with food
I would probably drink this again
