Name: Evodia Garnacha
Variety: Grenache (14% Alcohol)
Region: Atea
Country: Spain
Year: 2012
My Review: This is a very full bodied wine, with very slow legs. It is a very dark plum, raspberry color. It smells strongly of berries especially cherries and blackberries. I also smell the alcohol more than I usually do. After tasting this wine, it is on the dry side, but not too dry. It is fairly smooth with a sticky texture.
Winery Review: (100% garnacha; no oak): Vivid purple. Powerful aromas of blueberry, blackberry, woodsmoke and Indian spices. Displays supple, open-knit flavors of smoky dark berries, bitter chocolate and candied flowers. Seductive right now, with a sweet floral pastille element carrying through a long, smoky, tannin-free finish. An amazing value.
I did not drink this with food
I would probably drink this again
