Touraine Sauvignon Blanc

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

Name: Touraine

Variety: Sauvignon Blanc  (12.5% alcohol)
Region: Mouzillon
Country: France
Year: 2011
Price: $11

My Review: This wine does not have a strong aroma, but I smell an aroma of green apple. This wine is very dry and has a citrus taste. There is also a possible hint of caramel. This wine has a very gritty feeling in my mouth, but is very easy to drink at the same time.

Winery Review: This Sauvignon Touraine has an elegant pale yellow colour with hues of green. The expressive bouquet is dominated by notes of exotic fruits, red currants and black currant buds. Balanced, well-rounded, and fresh on the palate, it can be enjoyed chilled as an aperitif or with shellfish, smoked fish, goat's cheese.

I did not drink this with food
I might drink this again
