Concannon Cabernet Sauvignon

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Name: Concannon

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon  (13% alcohol)
Region: California
Country: United States
Year: 2012
Price: $10

My Review:  Before tasting, this wine is very full bodied based on the color and legs. This wine has a strong cherry aroma, also with a hint of wood, possibly cedar or oak. After tasting this wine, it is extremely bitter with a metallic, vinegar taste. It is a very dry wine that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

Winery Review: Since 1883, Concannon Vineyard has been handcrafting fine varietal grapes grown throughout California’s premier wine-growing regions. We carefully select the most ideal vineyards and craft this expensive fruit into superb wines.  Our full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is brimming with black cherry and vanilla and a rich, smooth finish with oak overtones. Enjoy with bleu cheese-stuffed with filet mignon or hearty minestrone soup.

I did not drink this with food
I would probably not drink this again
