Name: Isiri
Variety: Barbera (14% Alcohol)
Region: Piemonte
Country: Italy
Year: 2010
My Review: This wine is a deep ruby red color that appears to be medium bodied. It smells very fruity, mostly of cherries and strawberries, and there is also a hint of a steak sauce smell similar to A1. After tasting this wine there is also a slight taste of wheat bread along with the fruit. This is a slightly dry wine with medium tannins, but slightly too much burn on the finish.
Winery Review: Ripe cherry, plum, and red berries combine with bright acidity to create a fresh, young wine ready to drink now. It pairs well with beef kebabs, cornish game hens, veal chops, and hard cheeses.
I did not drink this with food
I would drink this again (8/10)
