Name: Fetzer
Variety: Gewurztraminer (12% Alcohol)
Region: Medocino County, California
Country: United States
Year: 2012
My Review: This wine is yellow with a hint of orange and is medium bodied. I smell peaches and melons on this wine. This is an extremely sweet wine, too sweet for me, but still has a slight acidic bite on the back palate.
Winery Review: Seasoned. Its often called "gavurtz" because its hard to say, and even harder to spell. This wine though, is a secret weapon, great for taming spicy foods or sipping on its own. Enjoy the honeyed apricot and peach flavors in the glass, and breathe deeply to capture the aromas of rose petals and honeysuckle. Lots of people love this wine, even if they'll never spell it. Just ask for "gavurtz", we'll know what you mean.
I did not drink this with food
I might drink this again (6.5/10)
